Amerika is a large breed pond occupying an area of almost 60ha. It is part of a larger pond network found in the area of a forest park of the same name on the outskirts of Františkovy Lázně. The whole area with a net of maintained forest paths and rest stops mainly serves as a place for relaxation of the patients and visitors coming to Františkovy Lázně. The pond has a beach and a boat house and on its bank is a romantic framed house café built in 1898. The relaxed atmosphere of the place is crowned by a little zoo. The area is also natural habitat to many kinds of water birds.
